My sister asked me to do some illustrations for her. Most are very rushed, but I felt particularly happy with this one. I was inspired both by Rapunzel&#8217;s father in Tangled and Mr. Fredrickson from Up.

I think this image pretty much sums up Aleta&#8217;s relationship with her parents. In the story proper, Aleta is about 12, but here she&#8217;s about 7.

Disney character racebending. Yeah, this is totally a thing and I couldn&#8217;t wait to contribute. So I give you: Sleeping Beauty in the Arctic. A princess asleep in an ice castle. I&#8217;m partial to the blue side of the dress argument. A more detailed style than I&#8217;ve been doing, but I was feeling it.
